Any time you invite someone new into your home, it takes a while to show them how to adjust to your behaviors and culture. The same is true for dogs. Many Bartlett dog owners find that their dog has a few behaviors that need to be addressed in order to make sure they adjust.

As a Bartlett dog trainer, Marc Goldberg and his team really care about dogs. The approach that we use is based on that level of care. Marc has written a book used by dog trainers around the country that focuses on force free, gentle dog training – all without relying on clickers or treats that are not as consistent in the outside world.

Behaviors Addressed Through Dog Training

There are two types of dog training – those focused on fun tricks, and those that are focused on making sure your dog has adapted to the household. We focus on the latter, teaching you (and your puppy) how to be the best family members they can be.

We have several Bartlett dog training programs that are designed for teaching you how to respond better to several different behaviors, including:

  • Not chewing on furniture or shoes.
  • Housetraining and crate training.
  • Proper walking on a leash.
  • Responding to their name and coming when called.
  • Sitting until released, and more.

These programs are aimed at families with pets that have not yet learned the basics of household living and need a helping hand to guide them.

Private Dog Training - Our Pack Leader Program

Our Pack Leader Program is our private training session with you, your dog(s), and our dog trainers. We both address behavioral issues that you've been struggling with and we teach you the ForceFree method and how to integrate it into your own dog training at home. This program also comes with phone support if you need help, and is great for both dogs and puppies.

Dog Boarding School and Doggy Bootcamp in Bartlett, IL

For those who struggle with more difficult behavioral issues, such as aggression towards people or animals, anxiety, running away, and other common challenges, our boarding school programs are also worth exploring. These programs are aimed at those that would like a dog trainer in Bartlett to begin the process of teaching your dog, and then you come on the last day and learn the techniques to take home with you.

Our programs are 1, 2, and 3 weeks long, and address different concerns and needs for you and your dog:

  • 1 Week Dog Boarding and Training - Leave your dog with us for one week, and we'll begin training on all common dog behavioral needs so that your pet is ready to continue training at home with you to become the perfect household companion.
  • 2 Week Doggy Bootcamp - Our two week program goes a step further. We train your dog thoroughly on all common behavioral requests, such as not jumping on furniture, walking on leashes, and more, and then when you take your dog home they are already the perfect home companion.
  • 3 Week Dog Bootcamp - Our 3 week program is for dogs that have anxiety, depression, aggression, or whose needs require more in-depth intervention that the 2 week program cannot provide. That extra time and care is to help make sure that your dog comes back to you happy, confident, and ready to be a great house member.

No matter the type of dog training you prefer, Marc and his team will be there to help. Give us a call today at 1-224-407-2131 or contact us on our website and we’ll tell you more about our training programs and options, or provide you with our free behavioral consultation.

Our Philosophy & Goals

Our philosophy is simple. Improve the life of both dog and family. All too often, unruly dogs do not fully enjoy life because their families constantly become upset and frustrated with them. This is difficult for both family and dog.

Our mission is simple. Make both dog and family happy.

What does is take to make your dog happy? He will thrive when you give him leadership and attention.

Making the family happy is a bit more complex.

Families typically want their dog to:

  • Come when called, every time, on or off leash
  • Walk nicely on a loose leash without pulling
  • Sit until released
  • Down until released

Families also want their dogs:

  • Not to jump on people
  • Not to charge through doors
  • Not to dig in the garden
  • Not to bark and chew  inappropriately
  • Not to climb on furniture you prefer they avoid
  • Not to sniff and eat off the table and counters.
  • Not to be wild and uncontrollable
  • Not to ignore you when you want their attention
